Lands End + Moraga Steps Engagement
In just a few months, this sweet pair will be sharing vows in San Diego. Since Brian and Michelle are from the Bay Area, they wanted to make a weekend of it and do an engagement session in San Francisco. We all knew enough about SF microclimates not to be terribly surprised when we found thick fog in one location and bright blue skies in another. The light through the trees at Lands End was simply magical, but a smiling corgi in a bowtie, well, that's what the tourists stop for.

Lush Summer Wedding at Piedmont Community Hall
These two connected early on over their love of travel and the great outdoors. Close to their Oakland home, but surrounded by towering redwood trees along the stream through the park, the Piedmont Community Hall offered the natural, yet classy vibe that they were looking for in a venue.
Ben and Kendra took time-honored traditions and made them their own. A natural ceramic chalice for the wine, a beautiful wood-cut ketubah, a chuppah handmade by Ben and his groomsmen. Family and friends came together to enhance the day in other ways: seven eloquent and heartfelt blessings from close friends, handmade signage by Kendra's dad, a well-trained ring bearer, and homemade pie for dessert!

Elopement at San Francisco's Lands End
Oscar's native Sweden has close to 100,00 lakes, and Netta grew up in Los Angeles, known for its beautiful beaches. When they first reached out about plans for an afternoon elopement, Netta spoke of water, trees, and embracing the wind. What better location than Lands End? With its dramatic cliffs sinking into raging waves... the name manages to feel both melodramatic and entirely fitting.
Choosing to elope allowed Netta and Oscar to focus on the few key aspects of their wedding that mattered most to them. They knew they wanted low-fuss, but special: a celebration on their anniversary, overlooking the water.
From a secluded clearing overlooking the Golden Gate Strait, they shared a quiet ceremony. Then they explored the hillside and the ruins of Sutro Baths (looking amazing in the sweet golden hour light) before taking off to a fancy dinner to celebrate!
