Elopement at San Francisco's Lands End

Oscar's native Sweden has close to 100,00 lakes, and Netta grew up in Los Angeles, known for its beautiful beaches. When they first reached out about plans for an afternoon elopement, Netta spoke of water, trees, and embracing the wind. What better location than Lands End? With its dramatic cliffs sinking into raging waves... the name manages to feel both melodramatic and entirely fitting.

Choosing to elope allowed Netta and Oscar to focus on the few key aspects of their wedding that mattered most to them. They knew they wanted low-fuss, but special: a celebration on their anniversary, overlooking the water.

From a secluded clearing overlooking the Golden Gate Strait, they shared a quiet ceremony. Then they explored the hillside and the ruins of Sutro Baths (looking amazing in the sweet golden hour light) before taking off to a fancy dinner to celebrate!

Intimate Sun-Drenched Wedding at Sutro Heights

A June wedding at the beach in San Francisco is riskier than it may sound. When that marine layer sets in, June gloom is very real. Dina and Joey were bracing for fog, but ended up with a bright clear day overlooking the Pacific.

Knowing it would be overwhelming to fit their friends and Joey's giant Irish Catholic family into one day, they embraced a scenario common in Dina's native Russia: spread the party out over three days! An intimate ceremony and dinner on a Friday afternoon kicked off a whole weekend of festivities.

Under the cypress trees with hair swirling in the wind, they had a Russian Jewish Irish Catholic ceremony overlooking Dina's grandfather's favorite spot in San Francisco. Afterward, they headed to Wayfare Tavern where the bride had a burger in her wedding dress, and shared vodka and Jamison with their closest family members!

Vibrant Wedding at Corkscrew Cafe, Carmel Valley

Corkscrew Cafe Carmel Valley Wedding_Buena Lane Photography

Sarah and Mark could not have asked for a more beautiful Carmel Valley day to share their vows. The gardens at the Corkscrew Cafe were magical in the afternoon summer sun and the vine-covered atrium provided a shady, cozy corner for their intimate celebration.

With its adobe walls, colorful chairs, and papel picado, the grounds at Corkscrew evoke images of Early California. Sarah's vibrant bouquet, mix-matched floral prints for the flower girls, and an eclectic, colorful table embraced and enhanced the look. Pair all that with wood-fired pizzas and a bold Carmel Valley cabernet and you can't really go wrong!
