Buena Lane is an intimate team of professional photographers with a shared passion for the unique and non-traditional. Versed in the Buena Lane method and style, each photographer is talented at capturing stunning images with a natural feel.

OUR APPROACH

We’re inspired by the ease and beauty of nature and we let that guide our approach to portraiture. We hear it a lot from our couples: you don’t want to look posed or stiff in your photos. We don’t want that either. In fact, our expertise is in natural, authentic images that highlight you and the landscape around you. We want you to feel relaxed and worry-free, so we offer extremely organized, yet relaxed sessions that let you focus on the day, not your movements.

Each Buena Lane photographer is experienced in the art of blending into their surroundings while offering thoughtful guidance and organization, when needed, in order to capture your most candid and carefree moments.

Each of our photographers has trained side-by-side with the founder, Eileen, for several years. They arrive at your event equipped with knowledge from years of mentorship, prepared for every scenario and lighting condition, creating images that are always consistent with the Buena Lane brand.

ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS

Every couple will maintain contact with Eileen throughout the process in regards to day-of logistics, timeline, shot list, and image edits.  At Buena Lane, we strive to keep our photographers' main focus on nothing other than their talent and passion of capturing your special moments, allowing them to do what they do best. 

Eileen maintains client communication before and after your wedding day, managing the day-of logistics, timeline, and shot list. This allows the photographers to do what they do best and keep their focus on capturing your special moments. To top it off, Eileen edits your images to ensure the Buena Lane style you expect. 

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Photographers are assigned based on date, location, and experience. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible, so we take personality into account too. After booking, you’ll receive a bio of your photographer and have the opportunity to connect through a ‘planning kick off call’. This is your time to get to know one another and share ideas about the day. When your date gets closer, we’ll schedule a second call to cover all the important details like timeline and logistics and share any questions you might have.

HAVE YOU WORKED THIS VENUE BEFORE?

Chances are, yes! We have worked at many venues and locations in the San Francisco area and beyond. No matter the familiarity of the venue, we always show up early to scout the location. We are seasoned in expecting the unexpected - things change, construction happens, venues remodel their look, and weather and time of year always play a part. Our team of photographers all share the gift of creativity and ingenuity, meaning that some of our most creative and beautiful works are results of the unexpected or unfamiliar.

WHAT ABOUT ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?

Engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and work through any awkward feelings before the big day. They last approximately 90 minutes, which typically allows enough time for an outfit change and second location.

You’re almost there! Once you’ve selected a collection that works for you, we require a signed client agreement and retainer to reserve your date.
